I really discovered painting in year 12 during my art and design studies at a TAFE and really enjoyed painting in the field and have continued to do so throughout my artistic career. Most of my work is dominated by art and design commissions, but realise the importance of making time for my own personal art. I developed my own technique of using acrylic washes with an overlay of charcoal drawing. Most often carried out in the field on pieces of masonite. This technique proved to be popular depicting themes of the local environment generally with detailed painting of local fauna within the painting. Dreams, my ideology, thoughts and feelings about nature and society influence my work.
